Maya and I decided to seat the JLPT exam!!!!
頑張ってね〜 (go go go)
I'm going to aim for either the level 5 or 4 exam while of course Maya will aim for the 3 or 2! I'm freaking out about the long vocabulary list!!!!
The exam will take place on July 3rd with applications due on the 28th! The application itself was waaayy to complex - hope it's not a reflection of the exam itself.
Just in case - level 5 is the lowest of the levels hahaha
More info on the exams here.
Wwwweeeeeeeee~

花見 (Flower Viewing)
Spring has truly bloomed in Japan! Famous for its cherry blossoms, I was so excited and was definitely not disappointed. It felt like a magic wonderland and when the wind blew, petals will just float in the wind. Only lasting around 2 weeks, Maya and I made the most of our bikes and peddled our little hearts out around my city!
We then hit Gifu for a simple picnic - we had a good laugh since we had a tiny little mat and sitting next to us was a giant family feast!
Strawberries, cheese and crackers, cans of chu-hi, definitely a fun night!
Unfortunately my camera died on me - time for a new camera!

Chin Chin Festival - Warning my offend some!
After hearing about this festival back in Australia - I made it a commitment to go! Its a fertility festival but its famous for worshiping a giant phallic. I refused to pray (just in case) but just had fun and enjoying the scenery!
The event itself was quite small and only stayed around 2 hours there. It was reduced down i size due to the recent earthquakes and tsunami in Japan.

The Big Hike
Hiking up to Gifu castle was no easy task for me! Not actually exercising properly for months we felt like a challenge and decided the most direct but most difficult route. Nevertheless, it was tough with many stops required but the feeling in the end was amazing and it took only 40 minutes! I had the rocky song in my head!
The only worry was seeing oldies - like 70 and over hiking in an amazing rate bypassing us ><
There was a squirrel village but it was closed when we got there.
I tried to take a picture of the castle from the entrance! Its so small you can barely see it on the top
Of course we decided to take the cable car back down the trail - that took 5 minutes!
