My New Hair

Having always wanted to try out extensions back home - I finally took the plunge and did it in Japan (since its so popular here). The whole process took about 2.5 hours which included a cut, color and extensions.
I was so impressed by the service and the technique and handling they had! I will definitely be going back for my future hair necessities

Small note, Maya and I did not go to the same hairdressers - she went to one in Shibuya and I went to Yokohama

Chinatown

Having crazy cravings for yum cha - we decide to hit the largest Chinatown in Japan to satisfy them! Only to come out slightly disappointed with the quality of the food and the prices!

Oh well when I make a short trip back to Sydney - I can do it then haha

I decided to munch on the many roasted water chestnuts carts they had in every corner! Yum~

Little America

Having the right connections, I was able to step foot into the US army base in Yokohama. Its only the smaller one since I was strap for time... but I had an awesome steak (real one!) and diet coke!
(which is non-existent here in Japan).
They also had an American supermarket so I was all giddy and excited like a little girl at all the super-sized items!

World Food Festival

Another long bus ride another trip!
Im starting to get use to the bus rides but I still need to learn how to sleep on the damn buses. Met some weird people of the way (more staring than talking) haha

In Yokohama I hit my favorite spots again - close by the waters and shops. The world food festival was held there where I taste-tested some delights and tucking into some lunch =)

Random pictures from the day including my encounter with the Australia-Japan exchange program, Inca kola which is really beer, food from the Peru stand, Docomo sheep baseball mascot, Beer festival next door (which we skipped cause I was too lazy to walk back and the line to enter was super long), yummy Indian curry for dinner and cute condoms for sale at the local drug store!

Why I Still Have A Job Here

So during my wondering around I have noticed many things that caught my eye as being a bit "strange"...

There are more to come - and yes this is a purely stalker photo hahaha

Mister Donut!

Never being a big fan of donuts ever since working at Donut King in Australia many years ago, I am hooked on them again from Mister Donut! Especially when they are having their 100 yen sales!

Here are just some I remembered to grab a picture of before I chowed down!

1. Strawberry Ring

2. Toasted Golden Coconut Chocolate

3. Chocolate French Cream Angel (left) and the Bitter Chocolate (right)

Dreaming~

One of the biggest outlet malls in the Tokai area is called Dream Jazz Nagashima!
It was huge with plenty of people, dogs and sales!
It boasts an amusement park next door - with some scary looking roller-coasters (my ultimate fear)

Unfortunately I did not bring enough cash with me in order to save for my upcoming trips to Yokohama and Tokyo!

Yes Japan is still a very cash-based society.

But I will definitely be hitting this place again!

Huge thanks to Akiko for driving us everywhere!
