Nagoya Exploring

Today we went to Nagoya and did some exploring in the area. It was a pretty amazing city but there are all these underground mazes of stores and tunnels of shops!
They have the usual massive department stores and stand-alone designer stores.

The weather is humid and the rain keeps coming!
Hopefully this won't last too much longer ><

Peace Out

My Arrival

Greetings all!

I have landed and lived in Japan for more than 24 hours.
The first thing that hit me was the heat wave! Average temp is approximately 30C and humid!
I am currently sharing my training apartment with my bestie from Australia and we are having a blast exploring the area and eating. We decided to stay healthy and cook dinner instead of getting take out =)

Here is a nice video of my apartment:

Training for me will start on Monday so I will have to wait and see what exciting adventures I will embark on next!

Sorry for the delay in updating my blog~
I have no internet near me so I need to walk to an internet cafe in the next city!

My Company~

My job in Japan will involve me teaching English to young kiddies. The company is a subset of iTTTi called Peppy Kids Club (PKC for short).
The pay is alright - about average for a foreign English teacher in Japan but the work hours are short! Average about 5.5 hours per day for 5 days. Although classes are held after normal school hours so that means night work then party right after =D

2 Weeeeeekkkksssss Left!

OMG 2 weeks till I set off on a crazy adventure. Just last week I confirmed my location to be "the heart of Japan" or Gifu Prefecture!

Its approximately a 20min train ride to Nagoya - so I'm not too far from the city =)
*Sigh of relief*
Famous for its sake, hot springs (onsen) and Hoba Miso!
I do look forward to this and the packing is now underway.

On the eve of Onsen Time Machine (OTM) leaving for Japan - I just want to wish them luck and a plea to stay out of too much trouble - save some fun for me!

So what can happen with 6 young men goes to Japan? Ah we shall all wait and see~

They even made a cute poster to commemorate the event!

Something Useful

I came across this at the markets in the Gold Coast earlier this year and thought it was funny but can come in handy at the same time! Should not forget this when I head of to Japan.

At the same time I'm testing out my Polarized app on my iPhone~

Less then 1 Month to Go!~

Exciting and testing times now! I just completed my exams for the semester and time to set things into action - how to prepare for my move!
I have already obtained my visa (shocking photo - as always), passport, booked my flights to Nagoya and ... thats it?

Uh-oh...

I started to hyperventilate when I had to decide which pair of shoes I should bring with me... and then "what if?" scenarios started to play in my head ><

*Deep Breathe - Inhale, Exhale*

Ok time to relax and brush up on my Japanese with this cute game - My Japanese Coach on my DSLite

Until next time~

xoxo Maggie
