Yoro
I recently made a trip to a sightseeing location of Yoro! I actually have a school in the area and was told about the nice sights but never took the liberty of exploring the area till now!
The main goal was the walk (or climb at times) to see the Yoro waterfall and then hit a public bath for relaxation!
I came across a tiny crap theme park called yoroland - very old skool haha
The public bath had unisex and females only options. I went for unisex since I was too shy to go bare but they had a killer sauna cave - loved every moment of it. Especially good since I walked a good 50 minutes to get there not to mention the walking done before that!
Something I will definitely be going back to!

Crouching Aussies, Hidden Kaki
After a girly night in with cheese, crackers and good 'ol aussie wine, I walked Maya back to the station. We came across a tree with blooming Kaki fruits (also known as persimmons). Being slightly jaded from the wine - we decided to grab some. We managed to nab one after many attempts and trying to look nonchalant with every passing car.
Here is the fruit of our labor:
The next day I received a bag of Kaki fruits from the lovely Akiko as a present! So sweet <3
Note: The fruit from the tree is half the size of the ones I got hahahaha!

With Compliments!
After purchasing a toaster oven for my apartment (company pays of course), I decided to get my bake on! Also fueled by my impulse purchase of too many bananas at the markets last week (can be read here) - I set my mind on making banana muffins.
With the bananas mashed up and ready I hit the local stores for a toaster oven, sugar, milk, eggs, flour, baking powder and some muffin trays.
Japan doesn't have self raising flour at convenience but you can easily make it yourself by adding baking powder!
I was a little bit cautious at first since I have never used the oven or made the muffins before.
In the process I threw in choc chips and honey!
So here it is - my choc chip banana honey muffins! All I can say is yummy!!!!!!

Street Markets!
Turning one of the city's busiest streets into a crazy fresh food market!
I only stumbled upon it accidentally on the way to the supermarket
I managed to pick up a bunch of bananas (250yen), giant bag of peanuts (100yen) and roasted chestnuts (500yen), big bags of garlic (100yen) and ginger (100yen), roasted potato (150yen), and a bag of apples (300yen)! - it all came to 1500yen which was around $20 aussie dollars! Bargain!!!!

Worst Diet So Far!
So in an effort to get my beloved promotional rilakkuma mug from the LAWSON's convenient store, I had to eat specially labeled bread from their store. Since I started late in the promotion (with 2.5 weeks before it ended) I managed to eat for my lunch (and sometimes dinner) all the bread to last me the next year!
Finally its in my hands!

Wardrobe Malfunction~
My wardrobe collapsed in the middle of the night!
It was mainly my fault as I grabbed onto the rod when I was hanging up a jacket after a small slip!
I saw that that the rod's was not attached on but just have an adjustable lengthening system! Crap!!
I spent the next morning still tightening and rehanging all my clothes again - just in case for weight issues - I stored my summer clothes into my suitcase!
The picture above was taken after I re-attached the rods back for the first time and only to have it fail when I put my t-shirts on ><

Kyoto Lovin'
Hitting the ancient city to catch up with friends from home!
It was rainy and we all got wet and walked home with soaked feet, but it was still fun and loved every moment of it!
I forgot my camera, but used my iPhone to take the happy snaps! I used a cool app on my iPhone called MoreLomo! Its so cool and made all my pictures look good!
l
I was only able to catch a few temples on my first visit, but I will definitely be back for more. The last shrine is Fushimi Inari Shrine which was where "Memoirs of a Geisha" was filmed! So magical I have to say~

My New Hair
Having always wanted to try out extensions back home - I finally took the plunge and did it in Japan (since its so popular here). The whole process took about 2.5 hours which included a cut, color and extensions.
I was so impressed by the service and the technique and handling they had! I will definitely be going back for my future hair necessities
Small note, Maya and I did not go to the same hairdressers - she went to one in Shibuya and I went to Yokohama
